Hi @Den3200, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer paper jam!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If paper is getting jammed inside your HP Smart Tank 515 and rolling up instead of passing through, follow these steps to clear it:

1. Turn Off and Unplug the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds before proceeding.

2. Remove Any Loose Paper

  • Open the input tray and check for any loose paper.
  • Remove any stuck paper carefully to avoid tearing it.

3. Check the Paper Path from the Rear

  • Open the rear access door or duplexer (if your model has one).
  • Look inside and carefully remove any jammed paper.
  • Ensure there are no small bits left inside.

4. Check the Printhead Area

  • Open the front cover and check the printhead area.
  • If you see jammed paper, gently pull it out from the output slot (not backward, to avoid damaging the rollers).

5. Inspect the Rollers

  • Rotate the rollers manually to remove stuck paper bits.
  • Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth dampened with water to remove dust.

6. Reload Paper Correctly

  • Use only fresh, high-quality paper (avoid bent or curled sheets).
  • Ensure the paper guides are correctly adjusted.

7. Reset the Printer

  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing a test page to check if the issue is resolved.

If the problem persists:

  • Try using different paper.
  • Update the printer firmware via HP Smart App.

Let me know if you need further guidance! 😊
