Hi @CJStout1,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the top feeder of your HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer is not pulling in sheets for copying, here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
1. Check the Paper Type and Size
- Ensure you’re using supported paper types and sizes for the printer. For the HP DeskJet 3755, the paper should not be too thick or textured.
- Verify that the paper meets the printer's specifications.
2. Inspect the Input Tray
- Ensure the paper is properly aligned and not bent, wrinkled, or stuck together.
- Avoid overfilling the tray. Load a few sheets at a time to test.
- Check that the paper width guide is snug against the edges of the paper without being too tight.
3. Clean the Paper Rollers
The rollers might be dirty or worn, preventing the printer from gripping the paper:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Access the rollers through the paper tray or rear access panel (if applicable).
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the rollers. Rotate them manually to clean all sides.
- Allow the rollers to dry for a few minutes before reinserting the paper.
4. Check for Jams or Obstructions
- Remove all paper and check for any debris, torn paper, or foreign objects in the paper path or input tray.
5. Perform a Printer Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and power it on.
- Test the feeder by loading a single sheet of plain paper.
6. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
Outdated firmware can cause hardware malfunctions:
- Download and install the latest firmware for your printer from HP's support website.
7. Try a Manual Feed Test
- Place a single sheet into the feeder and gently push it forward as the printer attempts to pull it in. This can sometimes help if the rollers are misaligned or stuck.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
