I was trying to print a 4x6 postcard and i fed it into the manual paper feed in tray one and it never came out. Been printing other things from tray 2 and even a regular sheet of paper from tray 1, but I can't see or know where that card is in the machine. So not only can't I print on post cards, but one is lost somewhere in the printer.

Minimum size rating for Tray 1 is 3x5. Tray 2 should handle a 4x6 card as well. This will depend on the weight and stiffness of the paper. I would not try to duplex this size item. As for, where is the missing paper? Pull out the paper tray and you will see a green button on the left hand side of the tray cavity. Pushing that will drop an internal tray down, this is often where missing pieces of paper go to hide. Be sure to lift up that tray afterwards till it clicks in place or you will not be able to re-insert the paper tray. Also open the back door and check there for paper
