Hi @Ripley2022,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Printing envelopes can sometimes be tricky and may cause paper jams if not done correctly. Here are some steps to help you resolve the issue with your HP Envy 6032e:
**1. Check Paper and Envelope Specifications
- Ensure you are using the correct size envelopes that are compatible with your printer. Check the printer’s manual or HP’s website for supported envelope sizes.
- Use high-quality envelopes designed for printing. Poor-quality or damaged envelopes are more likely to cause jams.
**2. Load Envelopes Properly
- Place envelopes in the input tray. Ensure they are properly aligned and loaded in the correct orientation (usually with the flap side down and facing the printer).
- Adjust the paper guides in the input tray to fit snugly against the envelopes. Make sure the guides are not too tight, as this can cause jams.
**3. Check Printer Settings
- Go to your printer settings on your computer and select the correct paper type and size for envelopes.
- In the Print dialog, choose the envelope size and orientation that matches what’s loaded in the tray.
- Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP Envy 6032e.
**4. Inspect and Clean the Printer
- Open the printer’s access panels and check for any obstructions or pieces of paper that may be causing the jams.
- Gently clean the paper rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Allow them to dry completely before using the printer again.
**5. Adjust Printer Settings for Envelopes
- Access the printer’s settings menu and check if there is an option specifically for printing envelopes. Some printers have settings that optimize the print path for envelopes.
- Set the print quality to a lower setting to reduce the chances of jams, as higher quality settings can sometimes cause issues with thicker media like envelopes.
**6. Perform a Printer Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
**7. Test with Different Envelopes
- Test with a different batch of envelopes to rule out the possibility of a specific batch causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
