Photo Envy 6230
Microsoft Windows 11

I have had continual problems with printing Photos from the Photo tray of the HP Envy Photo 6230, I have even bought a replacement printer of the same model and have the same problem, I am using HP photo paper, the printer has the latest firmware and it prints OK from the main try, but cannot print from the Photo tray, the tray is free with no issues on both printers.

Welcome to the HP Community.

Suggestions / Ideas

If two different printers exhibit the same reluctance to print on small photo paper from the photo tray,

Look for the cause of the problem elsewhere.

For example,

The printer supports 4x6 inch HP photo paper in the photo tray in weights up to 250 g/m².
