I have a Color Laser-jet CP2025 Printer, it was dropped a small distance during shipping, the front manual feed door broke a hinge and the Tray 2 Face plate got a crack. but I had a spare tray 2, and I don't use manual feed. Please note the manual feed does start to feed but has a paper-jam once the page has completely entered the printer. Tray 2 makes roller noises but never picks up paper.

The part that fell out is a small white nylon rod 2.7" long, about 1/8" in diameter with a couple of flattened areas for keying to something. It fell on the inside left of the tray area while the tray was removed. I have looked all over for any place it could fit and cannot find its home. I also downloaded the service manual and looked thru all the exploded views and cannot locate this part. it is probably from an assembly and is not supposed to be able to be removed but with the drop perhaps got jostled loose.

Please help me locate its home and if anyone has some better pictures of where it goes or disassembly instructions please submit, as the service manual is awful.

Here is the picture of it.

Hopefully this solves the feed problem.

Picture is from a 476 which has a very similar layout. Might be on of the feed roller drive shafts inside the tray cavity.
