Does anyone have a chart to explain how this plastic piece goes back in? The plastic piece is approx 8.5 inches long and have 5 slots.

Go to the below site and enter your serial number
https://partsurfer.hp.com
There may be pictures of the part. If not, then you can google the part number and look for the item
Google for your printer model (?) and the phrase "youtube" and "disassemble" and possibly a video might show the part being removed
Google also has an image lookup capability. Take a photo of the part on a black background and use google image search to find a name for it. Then google the name and the printer model. Adding eBay to the search usually finds a part.

post a good image of that part and provide the exact model name of the printer
