Envy 5540

Someone gave me an old HP Envy 5540. It continues to show the error “Paper Jam” when there is no paper stuck anywhere in the feed mechanisms.

The white tape that wraps around the inside back of the machine is ripped in half. This tape says SUMITOMO-V AWM 2896 80C VW-1 on it. I think it’s connected to the print cartridge.

Does anyone know if the printer can be salvaged?

The wite tape is a flex cable connecting cartridges to the main electronics, it barely breaks and it's not intended to be replaced, your printer is 99% for electronics waste.
