Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
With nothing to print, what causes the printer to take in paper and cause a paper jam. The jam can be cleared by pressing the OK and ejecting the paper but then it always goes through a long printer maintenance before printing can resume. I changed to a thinner paper in the past due to Office max not carrying the thicker paper any more and am not sure it pm problems started then or not but the printer should be able to use any weight paper. The problem happens 4 or 5 times a week and the printer is on the 2nd floor.
