If you have not yet done so,

  • Check / Adjust the Tray and Paper Size and Type for the printer.
  • Check / Adjust the same settings in the job configuration -- Note that if the job is set to "Auto" and it is not working, select the input tray (if / as available)

User Guide - HP ENVY Pro 6400 All-in-One series

Starting on Page 18 - Load Media

and

Page 23 -- Change the default paper size detected by the printer

and / or

EWS > HP Document / How-to (InkJet Printers – Original Format)

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section Open the EWS over a local network orientation

OR

HP Laser Printers - Using the Printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

EWS – Tray and Paper Management

Original EWS

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model and EWS version Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

The next part is a guess without having the Operating System / version and the name of the application or software you are using.  The basics are universal -- Check paper size, type, source (Tray).
