Hi @eddie733,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Yes, you can use sticker label paper on an HP Envy Inspire printer. These printers are generally compatible with a variety of paper types, including sticker label paper, as long as the paper meets the printer's specifications for size and weight.
Here’s what you should keep in mind when using sticker label paper:
Paper Size and Type: Ensure the sticker label paper is compatible with your printer. Most label papers come in standard sizes like 4" x 6" for shipping labels, which should work with the HP Envy Inspire. Check the label paper’s specifications and ensure it’s designed for inkjet printers if you’re using an inkjet model.
Printer Settings: When printing on sticker paper, select the appropriate paper type and size in the printer settings. This helps the printer handle the paper correctly and ensures the best print quality.
Print Quality: Sticker paper can sometimes affect print quality due to its coating or thickness. Make sure to use high-quality sticker paper designed for your printer type (inkjet or laser). You might need to adjust print settings to achieve the best results.
Paper Loading: Load the sticker label paper into the printer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure it’s loaded correctly to avoid paper jams or misprints.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

HI @eddie733,
Thank you for your response.
For printing sticker labels on an HP Envy Inspire printer, you'll need to use the correct type of paper that is specifically designed for labels. Here’s how you can navigate the paper types you mentioned and what to use:
Paper Types and Their Uses
Photo Paper
- Description: Glossy or matte photo paper designed for high-quality photo prints.
- Use: Best for printing photos; not suitable for sticker labels.
Specialty Paper, Glossy
- Description: Paper with a glossy finish, often used for brochures and photos.
- Use: Not ideal for sticker labels unless the label sheets are specifically designed for glossy printing.
Specialty Paper, Matte
- Description: Paper with a non-shiny, matte finish.
- Use: Can be used for some types of label sheets if they are designed for matte finishes.
Plain Paper Light/Recycled
- Description: Basic paper typically used for everyday printing tasks.
- Use: Not suitable for sticker labels; it is too thin and not adhesive.
Plain Paper
- Description: Standard printing paper.
- Use: Not for stickers; you need paper that has an adhesive backing for label
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
