Consider / Add the following checkpoints to the search for a solution.

Will it be enough?  Will it work?

I don't know -- but it's likely worth the time to check.

================================

Printer Specifications -

Does your paper meet the specifications for size, type, AND weight for the Source (Tray) selected in your job configuration setup?

Note that if the tray is not (correctly) automatically selecting in your job configuration, select the source / Tray

Side Bar:  HP defines "card" paper as Index card - maximum of 110lb / 200 gsm.

Margins

In addition to the other limitations, this printer requires a larger margin along the bottom edge.

This means your margins can be no smaller than the 12.7 mm (1/2 inch) around all sides.

Even so, depending on your Operating System, the paper size/ type,  and the software / application, centering the content might be difficult or even impossible.

Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

Printer - Tray and Paper

Reminder

HP Smart Mobile requires that you adjust the paper size / type before opening the content to be printed.

(Re)load the paper you want to use and close the tray.

OR

> Section Load Paper / Load Media (wording varies)

Next,

Use the Printer Control Panel - look for a message to modify / edit the paper size & type

OR

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Check Tray and Paper and the Advanced sub-section.

EWS > HP Document / How-to

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

Look for and select the paper size (5x7)

For example, "Medium" paper size setting and select paper size

and

Look for and select a matching (or nearly matching) paper type --

For example, Paper Type "Specialty Paper, Matte"

Application / Software / Job Setup

What you do depends on the Software or Application you are using to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer.

In general, some of the same selection criteria is the same as when you are adjusting the paper size and type settings in EWS -- watch the paper size and select a matching paper type from the list.  These vary by printer model.
