Hi @ghile ,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with . Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

May I know

1. Since when are you facing this issue

2. Have you made any changes on your printer post that this issue raised and have you observed any light blinking on the display or error message

If you're experiencing paper jams or issues with envelopes getting jammed in your HP 7602 Smart Tank Printer, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Check for Jammed Paper:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the input tray and look for any jammed paper. If you find any, gently remove it. Be sure to check the entire paper path, including the input and output trays.

Use the Correct Paper Type:

  • Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper or envelopes as specified in the printer manual. Using the wrong paper type may lead to jams.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the paper path for any foreign objects or debris that might be causing the jams. Remove any obstructions carefully.

Adjust Paper Guides:

  • Make sure the paper guides in the input tray are properly adjusted to the size of the paper or envelopes you are using. Misaligned guides can cause feeding issues.

Fan the Paper:

  • Before loading paper or envelopes, fan the stack to prevent sheets from sticking together. This can improve the paper feed.

Avoid Overloading:

  • Ensure that you do not overload the input tray. Only load the recommended number of sheets or envelopes.

Update Firmware and Drivers:

  • Check for firmware and driver updates for your printer on the HP support website. Keeping the firmware and drivers up-to-date can resolve known issues.

Printer Settings:

  • Adjust the printer settings for the specific paper or envelope type you are using. You can usually find these settings in the printer software or control panel.

Clean the Rollers:

  • Over time, paper dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers, affecting paper feed. Refer to your printer manual for instructions on how to clean the rollers.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it, and wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
