Text paper is not the same thing as photo paper.
Glossy Brochure paper is supported -- Brochure paper is supported at 180 gsm.
I am guessing Brochure paper is restricted to sizes normally sold for the type.
In other words, it might not work to simply cut Brochure paper into the size you want it.
What? The software / app used to print might issue a conflict error.
If using supported Brochure paper as the standard size (A4 / Letter), duplex printing is likely supported.
The comments about "fit" and shape of the content still apply.
The printer does not support two-sided printing on photo paper.
Borderless and Duplex (2-sided) are both restricted to certain paper sizes and types.
"Fit" (whether the result is cut-off) depends on the shape of the content as compared to the shape of the paper. It the two are not a match, the content must be edited to fit the shape of the paper or the content must be fitted to the paper using Crop or Shrink to Fit.
According to the specifications, small photo paper up to 80lb / 300 gsm is supported.
Most of what the printer can do is set in the hardware.
Most of what you can do with what the printer does is set in the app or software you are using.
and
Most of what the app or software can do depends on the Operating System / version for which the app or software was written.
All of this is easier and more fully supported in Windows.
Some of it is supported in Mobile.
Reminder
HP Smart Mobile requires that paper size / type is adjusted before the content is opened to be printed.
