Hi @75happy,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To adjust the paper tray of your HP OfficeJet 8015e printer for 8.5 x 11-inch paper (also known as letter-sized paper), follow these steps.
Adjust the Paper Tray
Open the input tray:
- Pull out the paper input tray from the front of the printer.
Adjust the paper width guide:
- Slide the paper width guide to its outermost position by squeezing the guide and moving it outward. This will allow the full width of the tray to fit 8.5-inch wide paper.
Place the paper:
- Insert a stack of 8.5 x 11-inch paper (letter size) into the tray with the print side facing down and the short edge first.
Adjust the paper length guide:
- Adjust the paper length guide by sliding it so that it touches the edge of the paper stack, ensuring the paper is held firmly in place.
Slide the width guide back in:
- Move the width guide inward until it gently touches the sides of the paper, ensuring the paper is centered and not too tight or too loose.
Close the input tray:
- Push the paper tray back into the printer, ensuring the paper is loaded correctly.
Adjust Print Settings (Optional):
Once the paper is loaded, make sure to configure the print settings on your computer:
- Windows: Open your document > go to "File" > "Print" > Select "Printer Properties" > Set "Paper Size" to 8.5 x 11.
- Mac: Open your document > go to "File" > "Print" > Set "Paper Size" to Letter (8.5 x 11).
After these steps, your HP OfficeJet 8015e should be ready to print on 8.5 x 11-inch paper!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
