Hi @kearly1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer doesn't show the legal paper size under advanced paper settings, you can try the following steps.
Check Paper Tray: Ensure that you have loaded legal-sized paper into the printer’s paper tray. Sometimes, the printer needs to recognize that legal paper is physically present.
Update Printer Drivers: Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers and software.
Printer Settings on Computer:
- Windows:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP ENVY 6055 printer and select Printer Properties or Properties.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Click on Printing Defaults.
- Under the Paper/Quality tab, look for a paper size dropdown menu and select Legal if available.
- Mac:
- Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP ENVY 6055 from the list on the left.
- Click on Options & Supplies > Driver tab.
- Ensure that the Paper Size option includes Legal. If it doesn't, check for updates to your printer drivers or software.
Print Settings in Application:
- When you go to print a document, check the settings in the application you're using (like Word or Adobe Acrobat). Sometimes, you can select the paper size within the print dialog box.
Printer Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can add new features or fix issues with paper size settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
