Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

for years I have been having problems with HP 1010's and 1020 pulling extra pages when printing even when replacing the rubber pickup.

i use them to print 'book slips' which are 11x3" labels

A common cause of this error is a sticking pickup solenoid. The foam bumper used breaks down over time and then causes the solenoid to stuck, resulting in extra pages being picked. The right side panel must be removed to access the solenoid and then you must clean the sticky residue off and install a replacement bumper to prevent further problems. There are many good videos on YouTube that show the procedure.
