Hi @vixT,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printing on photo paper with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check Photo Paper Compatibility

Ensure you are using the correct type of photo paper compatible with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025:

  • Paper Type:
    • Use HP Premium or Premium Plus Photo Paper for the best results.
    • Ensure the photo paper size is supported (e.g., 4x6 inches, 5x7 inches, 8x10 inches, or A4 size).

2. Load Photo Paper Correctly

Make sure the photo paper is loaded correctly in the input tray:

  1. Remove any plain paper from the input tray.
  2. Load the photo paper with the printable side facing down (glossy or matte side).
  3. Adjust the paper width guides to fit snugly against the edges of the paper without bending it.
  4. Do not overload the paper tray. Load only up to the recommended number of sheets (typically 20 sheets of photo paper).

3. Select the Correct Paper Settings in the Printer Driver

Ensure the correct paper type and print quality settings are selected in the printer driver:

  1. Open the document or photo you want to print.
  2. Click on 'File' and then 'Print'.
  3. Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 from the list of available printers.
  4. Click on 'Printer Properties' or 'Preferences' to open the printer's settings.
  5. In the 'Paper/Quality' or 'Paper Type/Quality' tab, set the following:
    • Media Type: Select the appropriate photo paper type (e.g., HP Premium Photo Paper or HP Advanced Photo Paper).
    • Paper Size: Select the correct photo paper size.
    • Print Quality: Choose 'Best' for the highest quality output.
  6. Click 'OK' to save the settings, then proceed to print.

4. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

Make sure your printer firmware and drivers are up to date:

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Access the HP Printer Assistant software or visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your printer model and download the latest firmware update if available.

Update Printer Drivers:

I hope this helps.
