Hi @JD7707,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the ink carriage in your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is stuck on the right side, you can try the following steps to release it.
- Turn Off the Printer: Power off the printer and unplug it from the electrical outlet. This will prevent any damage or accidental movement of the printer while you work on it.
- Open the Printer Access Door: Open the printer’s access door where you can see the ink cartridges. This is usually found on the top or front of the printer. Ensure you open it gently.
- Manually Move the Carriage: Carefully try to move the ink carriage to the center of the printer. You should be able to do this by gently pushing it from the right side toward the center. Be cautious and apply only light pressure to avoid damaging any components.
- Check for Obstructions: Look for any paper jams, foreign objects, or obstructions around the carriage that might be causing it to get stuck. Remove any obstructions you find.
- Reposition the Carriage: If the carriage is misaligned or stuck due to a mechanical issue, gently reposition it in the center position.
- Plug in and Power On: Once you have repositioned the carriage and ensured there are no obstructions, plug the printer back in and turn it on. The carriage should automatically move to its normal position.
- Perform a Test Print: Try printing a test page to ensure the printer is functioning correctly and the carriage is operating smoothly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
