Hi @whoseyormomma,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
For the error code 13.10.14 on your HP LaserJet Pro 4001dn, which usually indicates a paper jam error despite there being no visible jam, here are some troubleshooting steps to reset the error.
Power cycle the printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds to ensure the printer's memory is cleared.
- Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
Check the paper path:
- Open all the doors and paper trays to ensure there are no small pieces of paper stuck in the rollers or any other parts of the paper path.
- Use a flashlight if necessary to inspect for any hidden debris.
Check the paper tray:
- Remove the paper from the input tray and reload it, ensuring it's correctly aligned and not overloaded.
- Make sure the paper is not sticking together or warped, which can cause misfeeds.
Clean the rollers:
- Dirty rollers can sometimes cause paper jam errors. Clean the rollers gently using a lint-free cloth and some water. Be sure they are dry before trying to print again.
Reset the printer settings:
- If the error persists, you can perform a hard reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Go button (the button used to start a print job) while turning the printer back on.
- Hold the button for about 15 seconds, then release it to reset the printer.
Check for firmware issues:
- Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. Sometimes, errors like this can be fixed by an update.
- You can check for updates via the printer's control panel or through the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
