Hi @Bill1797,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY Inspire 79003 printer is indicating a "photo tray block" error, it typically means that there is an issue with the photo paper tray. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix this issue.

  • Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions blocking the photo paper tray. Sometimes, a small piece of paper or debris can cause the tray to get stuck.
  • Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary errors.
  • Inspect the Photo Tray: Open the photo paper tray and visually inspect it for any damage or misalignment. Ensure that the photo paper is loaded correctly and that it fits within the tray's guides.
  • Clean the Rollers: Dust and debris on the rollers can cause paper feed issues. Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to clean the rollers inside the photo paper tray.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve known issues with the printer. Check for firmware updates on the HP support website and follow the instructions to update the firmware if available.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the "photo tray block" error on your HP ENVY Inspire 79003 printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
