Hi @mblaha,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've gone through all the troubleshooting methods for a paper jam in your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer and are still experiencing the issue, there are a few additional steps you can try.

  • Manual Inspection: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Carefully inspect the printer's rollers, paper tray, and any other areas where paper may get stuck. Use a flashlight if necessary to get a better view.
  • Remove Obstructions: If you find any torn pieces of paper or foreign objects inside the printer, carefully remove them. Use tweezers or a pair of pliers if needed, being careful not to damage any internal components.
  • Clean the Rollers: Paper jams can sometimes be caused by dirty or worn-out rollers. Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or rubbing alcohol to clean the rollers. Make sure they are dry before reinserting paper and powering on the printer.
  • Reset the Printer: Sometimes resetting the printer can resolve issues like paper jams. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait at least 60 seconds. Then, plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Update Firmware/Drivers: Ensure your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, software glitches can cause paper jams, and updating the firmware or drivers can resolve these issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
