Why does the 6455e printer flip the paper before feeding? i put labels in face-down, and it flipped the  sheet and printed on the back side. does thus erratically

It sounds like the printer might be set to duplex printing mode, where it automatically prints on both sides of the paper. When printing labels or other specialized media, it's important to check the printer settings to ensure that it's configured for single-sided printing if that's what you want. Double-sided printing might be the default setting, causing the printer to flip the paper and print on the back side. You can usually adjust this setting either on the printer's control panel or in the printer settings on your computer.
