Sometimes when removing the jam a bit of paper will get stuck in the paper path, or a flag will get stuck. About the only way to clear that is to floss the paper path with a bit of thin stiff cardboard (like a cereal box). Use a narrow strip about 2 inches wide and force it through the paper path in the normal direction of paper travel.
