Hi @surya0905,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If paper is jammed in your printer and you’re unable to print, follow these steps to clear the jam and prevent future issues:
1. Power Off the Printer
- Turn Off the Printer:
- Power off the printer using the power button. Unplug it from the electrical outlet for added safety.
2. Remove Paper Trays
- Take Out Paper Trays:
- Remove any paper trays from the printer. Check the trays for any paper that might be stuck or jammed.
3. Open Access Panels
Open the Main Access Door:
- Open the main access door where the print cartridges are located. This will give you access to the internal paper path.
Check for Jammed Paper:
- Carefully look inside the printer for any visible pieces of jammed paper. Gently remove any paper you find.
Open the Rear Access Door:
- Many printers have a rear access door or panel. Open this door to check for any paper that may be jammed in the rear paper path.
4. Remove Jammed Paper
Pull Paper Gently:
- If you find jammed paper, gently pull it out. Pull the paper in the direction of the paper path to avoid damaging the printer.
Avoid Tearing Paper:
- If the paper tears, remove any remaining pieces carefully. Ensure no small paper fragments are left inside the printer.
5. Check for Obstructions
Inspect Rollers:
- Check the rollers inside the printer. Ensure they are clean and free from any paper or debris.
Clear Obstructions:
- Remove any obstructions that might be blocking the paper path or rollers.
6. Reassemble and Test
- Replace the paper trays in the printer. Make sure they are properly seated and aligned.
- Close all access doors and panels securely.
Reconnect and Power On:
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on. Wait for it to initialize.
7. Test the Printer
- Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page to ensure the printer is functioning correctly and that the paper jam issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
