Hi @sylviamarie99,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP DeskJet 2800 All-in-One Printer isn't feeding paper through, here are a few troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:
Check the Paper Tray:
- Ensure the paper is properly loaded in the tray and that it’s aligned correctly. The paper guides should fit snugly against the edges of the paper.
- Avoid overloading the paper tray; ensure you’re using the correct paper size and type for your printer.
Inspect for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer’s paper tray and look for any visible paper jams or obstructions.
- Gently remove any jammed paper. Make sure to follow the path the paper takes through the printer to ensure nothing is stuck.
Check for Debris:
- Look inside the printer for any small bits of paper or debris that could be blocking the paper feed mechanism. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean any visible dust or debris.
Verify Paper Quality:
- Ensure you’re using paper that meets the printer’s specifications. Sometimes, paper that is too thick or too thin can cause feeding issues.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Check the HP website for any updates.
Perform a Printhead Cleaning:
- Some HP printers have an option to clean the printheads through the printer's software or control panel. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
