@LMH52, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Paper Jams in HP Smart Tank 7305 Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If a small newspaper clipping is stuck in your HP Smart Tank Printer 7305 and documents are still being printed, it's important to locate and remove the stuck paper safely to avoid any damage or further issues. Follow these steps to find and remove the stuck paper:
Turn off the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord for safety.
Open the Ink Cartridge Area:
- Open the ink access door to access the internal components. Wait for the carriage to move to its central position.
Locate the Paper Jam:
- Carefully check inside the ink cartridge area, looking for any small paper fragments or the newspaper clipping that may be stuck.
Inspect the Paper Path:
- Open the paper path cover or duplexer (if available). Gently pull out any paper or paper fragments you find. Be careful not to tear the paper.
Check the Tray and Rear Access Door:
- Remove the input tray and inspect it for any paper jams.
- Open the rear access door and check for paper jams in the rollers or other accessible areas. Remove any jammed paper you find.
Move the Paper Path Roller Manually:
- Manually move the paper path roller gently to see if you can dislodge any stuck paper.
Reconnect and Test:
- After removing all paper fragments, close all doors and reconnect the power cord.
- Turn on the printer and print a test page to ensure the issue is resolved.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
