Hi @lesmo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Paper in Tray: Ensure the paper is correctly loaded in the tray and not stuck together. The paper should be aligned neatly and should not be overloaded.

Paper Type and Quality: Ensure you are using the recommended paper type. Avoid using damaged or curled paper.

Inspect the Paper Tray for Obstructions

Remove Paper: Take out all the paper from the tray.

Check for Obstructions: Carefully inspect the tray for any debris or foreign objects that could be causing the feed issue.

Reload Paper: Load the paper back into the tray, ensuring it is aligned and fits snugly within the tray guides.

Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

Turn Off Printer: Ensure the printer is turned off before proceeding.

Access Rollers: Locate the paper feed rollers. These are typically accessible from the rear of the printer or inside the paper tray area.

Clean Rollers: Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to carefully clean the rollers.

Dry Rollers: Make sure the rollers are completely dry before turning the printer back on.

Perform a Hard Reset

Turn Off Printer: Ensure the printer is completely turned off.

Unplug the Printer: Disconnect the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.

Plug Back In: Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Reset Initial Settings: On some occasions, resetting the printer’s initial settings can resolve feed issues.

Adjust Paper Settings

Check Printer Settings: Go to your printer’s settings via the touchscreen menu.

Paper Type: Ensure the settings match the type of paper loaded in the tray. Incorrect paper settings can cause the printer to misinterpret the paper type.

I hope this helps.
