Hi @vilmacas,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble removing a paper jam from your HP DeskJet F4100, here are some steps you can follow:

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Make sure the printer is turned off and unplugged from the power source to avoid any accidents.

Open the Printer:

  • Open the front panel of the printer. This will give you access to the print cartridges and the paper path.

Remove the Print Cartridges:

  • Carefully remove the print cartridges from their slots. This will give you more room to access the jam.

Check for Jammed Paper:

  • Look inside the printer for any visible paper jams. Gently pull out any pieces of paper you can reach. Avoid tearing the paper, as small pieces can be harder to remove.

Access the Rear Paper Tray:

  • Many printers have a rear paper tray or access panel. Open this panel to check for any jammed paper from the back of the printer.

Use a Flashlight:

  • If you can't see the jam clearly, use a flashlight to help locate the paper.

Check the Paper Feed Rollers:

  • Examine the paper feed rollers for any bits of paper that may be stuck. Carefully remove any paper fragments.

Reassemble the Printer:

  • Once you have removed all the jammed paper, replace the print cartridges and close the front panel.

Plug in and Test:

  • Plug the printer back in, turn it on, and run a test print to ensure everything is working properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
