Hi @Nellie_123-E, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding paper jam issue!
For the HP OfficeJet Pro 9018e paper jam that you can't clear, follow these steps:
1. Check the Input and Output Tray
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove any loose or jammed paper from the input tray (where you load paper) and output tray.
2. Open the Front Access Door
- Open the front door to access the ink cartridges.
- If there’s jammed paper inside, gently pull it out in the direction of the paper path.
3. Remove the Paper Path Cover
- Inside the printer, locate the paper path cover (near the rollers).
- Carefully lift it and check for any paper stuck under it.
4. Access the Rear Panel
The HP OfficeJet Pro 9018e does not have a rear access door. Instead, you must access jams through the duplexer:
- Look at the back of the printer and locate the duplexer panel (a removable unit).
- Press the side buttons to remove it.
- Check for and remove any jammed paper gently, ensuring no small torn pieces remain.
- Reinsert the duplexer properly.
5. Open the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)
- Lift the ADF cover and check for paper jams in the scanner feeder.
- Remove any jammed paper carefully.
6. Clean Rollers
- While the printer is off, use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the paper rollers inside the printer and the duplexer.
- Let them dry before turning the printer back on.
7. Restart the Printer
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Try printing a test page.
