WORKING ON IMAC HP ENVY 7155

HP Recommended

Hi @JB1101,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY 7155 printer is not showing up on your dock and is indicating a "no paper" issue, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Physical Connections:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your iMac. Check the USB or network cable connections and make sure they are securely plugged in.

Printer Power:

  • Make sure your printer is turned on and has power. Check for any error messages or lights on the printer that may indicate issues.

Restart Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can often resolve minor connectivity issues.

Restart Computer:

  • Sometimes, restarting your iMac can help in re-establishing the connection with the printer.

Check Dock Settings:

  • Confirm that your printer is set as the default printer on your iMac. Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners" and select your HP ENVY 7155 as the default printer.

Paper Tray:

  • Ensure that the paper tray is loaded with the correct type and size of paper. Also, make sure that there are no jams or obstructions in the paper path.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Check if there are any updates available for your printer drivers. Visit the HP website or use the HP Smart app to download and install the latest drivers.

Check for Updates on iMac:

  • Make sure your iMac is running the latest operating system updates. Sometimes, compatibility issues can be resolved by updating your system.

Printer Queue:

  • Open the "Printers & Scanners" settings, select your printer, and check if there are any print jobs in the queue. Cancel any pending print jobs and try printing again.

Reinstall Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your iMac, restart the computer, and then re-add the printer in the "Printers & Scanners" settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
