Ok, I'm posting reviews now. Sorry it had to come to this. Now everyone will know how bad it is. And my last HP purchase ever again.
My review:
The HP Laserjet MFP M140w is a multifunction printer that has many features that make it a good option for office or personal use. It is capable of printing, scanning, and copying documents, and it is compact enough to fit in small spaces. However, one significant issue that arises with this printer is the inconsistent paper recognition when switching between different paper types.
The printer has a tendency to display an error message indicating that it is out of paper after switching from an envelope to letter-sized paper, or vice versa. This problem requires a complete restart of both the printer and the computer to resolve. This issue is not only time-consuming but also frustrating.
Despite this recurring issue, the printer performs well with high-quality prints and fast printing speeds. The setup process is straightforward, and the printer is easy to use. It also has a range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet.
Overall, the HP Laserjet MFP M140w is a reliable printer that performs well for basic printing needs. However, the ongoing issue of paper recognition when switching between paper types makes it difficult to recommend without warning others. Until HP resolves the issue with their Windows drivers, users may find themselves experiencing frequent interruptions in their workflow.

Hi @WilliamEzell,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.
Check the paper, and then reload it
Check the paper stack for defects such as wrinkled, torn, or bent pieces that might cause a pick-up issue.
Remove any paper from the paper tray.
Remove any severely bent, wrinkled, or torn paper found in the stack.
Check for obstructions inside the paper tray. Make sure nothing blocks the paper from engaging with the rollers.
Make sure the paper stack is even on all sides.
Load the stack of paper into the paper tray.
Close or push in the paper tray.
Select the correct paper size on the printer control panel or in the printer software.
Click here for the remaining steps.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I see someone solved the problem, but how do I set my printer driver this way? Why doesn't the install of the printer set it up correctly to begin with? Can you guys help me fix this and then fix it on your end so others don't have these issues?
"Are you connecting via network? If so, check the type of port that the printer driver is using to connect to the printer. Windows 10 always tries to default to a WSD port and the problem is that these rarely reset the error state after you have resolved the issue. We always suggest that for network attached printers that you use a standard TCP/IP port.
