Hi @pffj30,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8520e is printing multiple checks on a single page instead of just one, there are a few potential reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer settings are configured correctly. Open the print dialog on your computer, and make sure the print settings are set to print only one copy and that the paper size is set correctly for single checks.

Page Setup:

  • Verify the page setup in the application you are using to print checks. Make sure the page size matches the size of your individual checks.

Printer Preferences:

  • Open the printer preferences on your computer and check if there are any settings related to the number of copies or pages per sheet. Set it to print only one page per sheet.

Check Software:

  • Ensure that the software you are using to print checks is configured to print a single check per page. Check the printing options within the application.

Paper Tray Settings:

  • Make sure that the paper tray of the printer is loaded with the correct type and size of paper for single checks. Adjust the paper guides in the tray to fit the size of the checks.

Print Preview:

  • Use the print preview option in your application to see how the document will appear before printing. Make sure it shows only one check on a page.

Printer Driver Update:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the official HP website to download and install the most recent drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8520e.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Firmware updates can address various issues, including printing problems.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printer settings to default. Refer to your printer manual for guidance on how to reset the printer settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
