Hi @bluekoko1881---,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re having trouble installing a new paper output tray on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e. Let’s go step by step to make this easier.

Turn Off the Printer

Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall for safety.

This prevents accidental movement of components while installing the tray.

Remove Any Existing Tray

If an old or broken tray is attached, gently pull it straight out.

Make sure there are no leftover pieces or obstructions where the new tray will attach.

Check Tray Orientation

The output tray should have a front lip that faces outward toward you.

Make sure any tabs or hooks on the tray align with the slots on the printer.

Align the Tray with Slots

Hold the tray slightly tilted if needed, aligning the side tabs with the guides on the printer.

The tray should slide in smoothly along the slots.

Push Tray Into Place

Gently push the tray until you feel it click or lock into place.

Do not force it; forcing can break the plastic hooks.

Adjust Tray Extensions (if applicable)

Some trays have a small extension that supports paper. Pull it out to accommodate your paper size.

Make sure the tray sits flat and stable.

Test With Paper

Insert a few sheets of paper and print a test page.

Ensure the paper flows into the tray correctly without jamming or tilting.

I hope this helps.
