Product: ExampHP DesignJet 5500 60"
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I found the manual for replacing carriage belt on HP DesignJet 5500 60", but I was hoping to get some directions from someone that has done this. Did not want to be stuck in the middle with missing parts, and long time to order. And other tips.

 

Tried to find article by Davidzuts on this forum. but could not.

Hi @viking2000 

 

My suggestion for you is to contact a service provider for that repair because the replacing the belt is hard and this printer came out of support many years ago from HP and the information available is minimum but the service providers have resources to get the belt properly replaced.
