Hi @jasajcj,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 3700 All-in-One Printer is saying it is out of paper but you have paper loaded, here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Check Paper Loading:
- Ensure the paper is properly aligned in the input tray.
- Make sure the paper is not curled, wrinkled, or too thick for the printer.
- Do not overload the tray with paper. Try using 10-25 sheets to see if the issue persists.
Paper Size and Type:
- Ensure the paper size and type settings in the print dialog match the paper loaded in the printer.
Clean the Paper Feed Rollers:
- Dust or debris on the paper rollers may cause feeding issues. Try cleaning the rollers:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
- Locate the paper feed rollers inside the printer and clean them with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Allow the rollers to dry completely before reconnecting and powering the printer back on.
Reset the Printer:
- Unplug the printer from the power source while it is still on.
- Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on. This can sometimes resolve communication glitches.
Update Firmware:
- Check for any firmware updates using the HP Smart app or HP’s support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
