@0101xyl, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue where your HP ENVY 5546 All-in-One Printer shows a "no paper" error when printing from your HP Pavilion laptop, even though it prints fine from your phone. Let's walk through some steps to resolve this:

Check Printer Connection

Since it prints from your phone, the printer is operational. However, ensure your laptop is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer:

  • On your laptop, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi and confirm it's the same network your phone uses.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause communication issues:

  • Go to the HP support page.
  • Download and install the Full Feature Software and Drivers for your operating system.
  • After installation, restart your laptop.

Clear the Print Queue

Sometimes the print queue gets stuck:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Stop.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files.
  • Go back to services.msc, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.

Check Paper Settings

Mismatch in paper size/type settings can trigger false "no paper" errors:

  • On your laptop, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
  • Ensure the paper size and type match what's loaded in the tray (e.g., A4, Plain Paper).

Try Printing a Test Page

  • Right-click the printer in Devices and Printers > Printer Properties > Print Test Page

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
