I have 2 issues: (1) the known pop-up “HPDM.framework” will damage your computer." Apple (!!!) has already tried to help me install the drivers and they didn't make a difference. I also tried to install another driver that, according to other posts. solved some folks' problems, but it wouldn't download - Safari said not a valid download. I haven't called customer support because the product is out of warranty and in the past they haven't been willing to help, even if it's an HP-driver-caused issue.

(2) The same problem that appeared for me and multiple other folks some months ago - after upgrading to Catalina scanning doesn't happen through Easy Scan (app looks like it's starting to scan but it never happens). Originally there was an incomplete workaround of using the HP Smart app (not a searchable scan, tho) and eventually HP released a driver that fixed it. Now the same problem is happening but HP Smart is buggy - it keeps asking me for my computer password to set it up, and entering it doesn't stop the cycle. Again, based on past experience this is an HP driver issue. Are others experiencing it again.

Hi,

First, please make sure your operating system is fully up to date with any of its latest updates:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541

Next, restart your Mac.

Next, follow the 'Uninstall with HP Easy Start' section below to uninstall any current software, then press on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer driver:

You may download HP Easy Start directly from the below link, be sure to follow the uninstallation steps first, as listed above:

Hello SchlomiL. I was able to run uninstall and it got rid of the pop-up. However, I don't see clear instructions on what to re-install. The info you sent says to install Easy Start, however, when I downloaded Easy Start it looked like that was a driver to get the printer up and running. My printer is running. I still have the HP app, which uninstall didn't uninstall. So my printer prints (I just had to re-establish the choice of printer). However, I no longer have anything that will let me scan. Will Easy Start take care of that? I previously had Easy Scan, which I don't see as an option any more.
