I am trying to print a Microsoft Word Document from my laptop.

These are the steps I have used:

1. Open Document in Word

2. Select File>Print>Print One Sided

3. Drop Down Menu Appears with these choices:

      Print One Sided

      Manually Print Both Sides

I have printed Word Documents in the past and have been able to automatically print both sides.  I have not found a solution to this problem for this document.

Make sure that you have the correct driver installed. You issue sounds like Window has either replaced the HP driver with a Windows native driver or the configuration of the driver does include the duplex function. You can check this by doing the following on your computer.

go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties" from the drop down menu. Click on the device settings tab an scroll down to find the installable option  of duplex and if it shows as not installed change it to installed.
