I’m using a model 8130e printer. I’m trying to print a double sided document through the paper feeder on top. There are only 2 options 1 to 1 or 1 to 2. My previous printer had a print option 2-2 which would read both sides of document and print both sides. I have been able to accomplish by lifting the lid and flipping the document. I really would like to put the document in the feeder and print both sides.

The OfficeJet Pro 81xx(e) series does include limitations not found in the OfficeJet Pro 91xx(e) series.
From your description I believe you commenting on COPY.
I agree that your printer does not support 2-sided COPY to 2-sided COPY.
What can the printer do?
The specifications that I've read do not say that COPY 2-sided to 2-sided is supported.
Instead the Copy option is described as "Sided" -- Apparently not the same animal.
| Copier Settings | Number of Copies; Sided; Lighter/Darker; Resize; Quality; Paper Size; Paper Type; Collate |
More "2-sided" stuff
The OfficeJet Pro 81xx(e)a series supports single sided ADF scan.
| Scan Type | Flatbed, 1-sided ADF |
The printer supports 2-sided printing on supported paper at supported sizes
| Features (facet) | Automatic document feeder; Two-sided printing; Scan to email; Fax; Front USB flash drive port; Touchscreen |
The printer supports single sided ADF scan -- 2-sided Scan can be made slightly less irritating by installing the full driver printer software (Windows) and using HP Scan / HP Universal Scan -- On printers that do not support 2-sided scanning, there is a "2-sided (manual)" option that instructs how to scan one side, flip and return paper to scan the 2nd side.
Example - HP Universal Scan / new format HP Scan - PDF - Menu and More > Destination
HP_Universal_Scan_PDF_More_Destination_1
How to check which options and features are supported
You can double check what the printer can do - that is, the supported features and options - using the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
For example,
There are sections for Copy, Scan, and Print.
Samples
=====================================
EWS - Copy
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Section Copy > Default Copy Options
Example - EWS - Copy - Default Copy Options
EWS_9135_Copy_Default_Copy_Options_7

EWS - Tray and Paper / Paper > Trays
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure
Next (as available)
Section Print > Default Print Options > Select default options / tray
Example - EWS - Tray and Paper - Paper > Trays
EWS_9135_Tray_and_Paper_9
Example - EWS - Print > Default Print Options
EWS_9135_Print_Default_Print_Options_9
=====================================
EWS - Scan
Note that are also settings for Scan to Email and Scan to USB as / if supported
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Section Scan > Scan to Network Folder > Default Job Options
EWS_9135_Scan_to_Network_Folder_Default_Job_Options_5
