Why are there 25 listed 'succcessful installations' YTD in 2025  for Hewlett-Packard - USB - 3/4/2019 12:00:00 AM - 48.2.4483.1963?

Each time I have to reboot Windows, etc., The latest iteration is today. The error message is always Update Failed, but the history always shows Update Successful. This started in January 2025. This issue has come up in prior years, but not in late 2024 that I recall.

My printer is attached to the computer using a USB line only. This problem surfaces every few years.

Other users have reported that the HIDE UPDATE feature does not stop this update attempt.

I have no printer issues. I am using a non HP cartridge, which makes me wonder if HP is really checking on the cartridge.

Answers from HP please? I have read all the recommended other posts, and the only possibly helpful one was in effect to press retry several times and hope for the best. That is not exactly a solution, and I had already done this anyway.

Why can't HP reply on this?

It is (1)  their update that will not install for the entire current year, (2) their printer and software is presenting no other problems, and (3) this Windows 11 computer is having not other problems.

Isn't there some HP responisbility here for an ongoing nuisance that is now over half a year old?

Help please?
