2700 printer not working, warranty expired apparently

So I got this printer a little over a year ago, and since then it has continually acted up, refused to print with no explanation, disconnected from my wifi network too many times to count, and now appears to have finally given up the ghost (despite still appearing active). All the symbols and lights are on and indicating ink supply, connection to wifi etc, but it will no longer connect in HP Smart, and the support site claims my warranty is up and that I apparently have to pay to get any kind of support with this spawn of hell. I have tried everything - unplugging and waiting, resetting the wifi, printing insane amount of info pages (wasting tons of the extremely expensive ink in the process), installing the mobile app, and more. At this point I'm contemplating kicking it to the curb and buying something old and cheap. I have an assignment to print that I need before Monday, and this piece of garbage printer is making me insane. Please help.

If the printer Wifi is not working maybe you can connect printer with USB cable, just to use it in a very basic connection.
