hp deskjet 2800e: When printing an A4 poster, the bottom bit is missing. How do I change the print area parameters, Please? Thanks 🙂

• Ensure that the document you're printing has margins that are within the printer's printable area. Most HP printers require at least 3-4 mm of margin around the edges.

2. Enable Borderless Printing

• Some HP DeskJet models support borderless printing, which eliminates margins and allows printing to the edge of the paper.
• Steps:
  1. Open the document or poster.
  2. Go to File > Print.
  3. Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
  4. Look for the Borderless Printing option and enable it.
  5. Save the settings and print the document.

3. Adjust Scaling or Fit-to-Page Settings

• If borderless printing isn't available, scale the poster to fit within the printable area:
  1. Open the Print dialog.
  2. Look for an option like Fit to Page, Shrink to Fit, or Scale to Fit.
  3. Adjust the scaling percentage to ensure the entire content fits within the printable area.

4. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

• Outdated firmware or drivers can limit functionality. To ensure you're using the latest features:
  1. Go to the HP Support website.
  2. Search for your printer model (DeskJet 2800e).
  3. Download and install the latest drivers and firmware updates.

5. Test Printable Area with a Template

Thanks for the reply - will have a go at sorting it this evening. Further info: tried my other desktop and all is ok! I think it must be the windows settings on the first computer - I can see it says depth 28.135 which ties up with the cut-off but I can't see how to change it (Windows 10)
