Hello

 

I am trying to put this printer on network.

I have sucessfully connected the printer via WiFi

I am able to ping the device via intranet

I am able to see the printer within the network web interface (http://192.168.1.179)

 

When i use the drivers software package, i am requested to enter either hostname or ip address, i tried both but the software is unable to find printer and install drivers!

 

I tried on 3 computers, 1 with windows 10, and two with windows 7

 

Any idea is very welcome

What is your exact printer model? the HP Officejet 3830 or the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3830?

 

I suggest ensuring you use the correct driver for your printer, the printer models might be confusing:

 

HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3830:

HP Officejet 3830:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL61240/mp-147826-1/OJ3830_72.exe
