How can I get my printer to accept 3rd party cartridges without throwing an error. I do not care of the quality of the cartridges I purchased, I just want them to work. The printer will soon be sent to the dump and I will buy another brand if that's the only option cheers for any help

It is the ink cartridge that provides the ink level info to the printer. This looks like an issue with the ink cartridges which is unable to cater to the ink level info to the printer. The caution cannot be bypassed as it is not an issue with the printer.

I'd suggest you try a different seller to buy cartridges that are compatible with your printer. Or, you can also check for the HP Instant Ink Program that will cut down your ink cost by 50% or more per year. Here is the link- https://instantink.hpconnected.com/us/en/l/

Hope this helps!

@Griffindork, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that you get an error message when you install the 3rd party cartridges, this could be an issue with the chip on the ink cartridges. The best I could suggest is to try with a different set of ink cartridges to see if that works.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

I have found out they are ink cartridges that have been refilled, is there anyway to bypass the ink level caution so I can use them

Ideal, that's all I needed to know. Off the the recyclers for the printer and I will buy one that doesn't lock the type of cartridge I use. Thanks for your help
