HP ENVY 4505 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Envy 4505 and can not get an option to support duplex printing.  I have spent hours, no joke, going around in circles to find a driver that fixes this issue.  Should I just give up and buy a printer from another company that supports Windows 11 better than HP has?  I have been a loyal HP customer for over 20 years and I'm about to give up.  Without this fix I am wasting paper.  Thanks

Hello @wub726  ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

A) Printer settings Duplexer:
Search Windows for 'devices', and then click the Devices and Printers control panel setting in the results.

Right-click the icon for your printer model, and then
click Device Settings tab
Installable Options > Duplexer: installed

If not, change to installed.

B) Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory:

Enter the Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.

Now Automatic Duplexing should become available.

If the Options > Duplexer or Duplex Accessory is not displayed, then download only HP Full Feature Software

  • Click on "Expand all" (right side) and carefully read all the information.
  • File name: Full_Webpack-116-Full_Webpack.exe (108.3 MB)

  1. Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
  2. Restart the PC
  3. Close all programs
  4. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE
  5. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  6. Restart the PC again
  7. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
