Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried to download the latest driver for my HP 5663, and it keeps failing.  The driver is  HP Envy 5660 e-all in one printer full series feature software & drivers.  My printer has ceased to print. I can still scan.  I have tried the HP Trouble shooting desktop suggestions, but have not had any luck.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please uninstall the printer driver from root level and then download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/EN5660/EN5660_Full_WebPack_40.13.1176.exe and follow the onscreen instructions

I received an error 5 package.  A caller of driverpackage install must be a member of the administration group when I tried the first step.

Any thoughts

Are you the Admin of the computer?

It is my computer, so I should be.  How do I use admin rights to do the correct steps.

Thanks

To check if you are an administrator follow the below steps -

Open Control Panel, and then go to User Accounts > User Accounts. 2. Now you will see your current logged-on user account display on the right side. If your account has administrator rights, you can see the word "Administrator" under your account name.

if not an admin , sign out and sign in as an admin and then try and uninstall the drivers

I am the administrator, and I re-followed the directions and get the same message

Try creating a New User Account with Admin rights and then log into that Account and try downloading the driver again

This is an issue with Windows permission blocking the installation of New Apps

You can refer to the steps in this Microsoft Forums: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/cannot-install-apps-as-administrator/77fd1e30-...
