In the last few months, I purchased my most recent HP printer, having to replace the last HP printer due to obsolescence.  Now that I just upgraded to Mac OS Catalina, I am MORE than frustrated not being able to connect with my recently-purchased HP printer.  I downloaded the updated driver, ensured my printer was connected to the network, and attempted over, and over, and over again to connect the (32 bit) printer to the new 64 bit operating system.  Nothing.  SOOOOOO frustrating.  I agree with the poster above.  This will definitely be my last HP printer!

I also have a non-functioning printer - OfficeJet Pro 8600. Since upgrading to MacOS catalina I can no longer scan directly to my computer.

I have purchased a new HP printer. I also purchased tech support from Staples, where I purchased my computer. After spending hours with them trying to get my Mojave OS working the tech advised me to download Catalina. After that it definitely did not work When I brought the printer back the sales rep who was very nice and helpful told me that it was a big mistake downloading to Catalina. He did not know of a HP printer that was compatible. I am now without a printer at all. I am very hesitant to try to go back to Mojave because that looks very scary. I spent another couple of hours on HP support yesterday. The end result of my conversation with that person was, sorry I don't think there is a HP printer that will work with Catalina at this time. I am baffled and very stressed and desperately need a printer and scanner. Does anyone have any ideas or another brand of printer that might work.
