so the printer can communicate with wifi the router without any connetion to the modem or router or laptop.

 

I think technology has passed me by, used to the CD install method.

Yes, the printer is able to connect wirelessly with the router and computer/mobile phone.

Problem with download and install. Takes me to the microsoft store, I sign in, get a message downloading, eventuaally get a download error. No ad blocker no pop up blockers. Is there a direct link to download and instll HP Smart and software and drivers for my 6452e printer without going to the microsoft store?

Wow, If the only way to download and install is from the Microsoft store, then HP made a huge error. I have 200mb internet and it says downloading at 44kbs.

I found hundreds of people with the same problem. Is there a problem with the microsoft store?  I may be done with HP if this is the best that can be done
