Oh, didn't though about this one 😉

Open your web browser and type 10.0.0.4, then press enter and the printer home page should be shown.

From there follow step 2 and further of my previous post.

Once the IP was changed, open the printer software and select Update IP Address witin the Utilities tab to update the current IP for the software.

Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

Hi,

First I would higly suggest settig a fixed IP to avoid this type of issues at the future:

  1. From the HP Officejet Pro 6830 software click on Printer Home Page (EWS).
  2. Open the Network tab.
  3. Within the Active connection type click on IPv4.
  4. Change the selection from Automatic to Manual.
  5. Press the Suggest IP Address Button.

Within few seconds a new IP will appear, take a note of the current IP and click OK to confirm the changes.

Next from the HP Officejet Pro 6830 software click the Utilities tab.

Click on Update IP Address.

Type the current IP, click on Find and save the changes.

Now clsoe the software and try printing and scanning, the fixed IP address should apply from now on.

Thanks ShlomiL, but that's excactly what I cant do. The Assistant enters the address 10.0.0.3 in the browser, but the printout of network configuration from the printer says the address is 10.0.0.4 and the printer's home page does not open.

Hi Provost,

Sorry for the delay!

I did what you suggested and all worked well until the nest start of computer. Then the IPv4 IP address had return to 10.0.0.4. I guess I'll have to live with the procedure of manually entering it in the browser in order to get into the printers software.

Best regards
